It was truly a well-structured Innovation Advisory Board at the University of Dubai — bringing together a strong mix of global best practices and regional expertise.

Where, representatives from leading international institutions such as UCL and the University of Waterloo shared valuable international perspectives, while regional entrepreneurship experts highlighted local challenges and collaborated to develop new acceleration strategies tailored to the MENA region.

Proud that Significa Ventures was part of this insightful discussion, and I hope the University of Dubai will continue to share this model with other leading universities across the region.

Looking forward to the next steps!

Shared from Mohamed Aboud:

Yesterday marked a great milestone in the development journey of the University of Dubai Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Business Center (UDIEBC).

After two and a half years of hard work, dedication, and strategic planning, we officially inaugurated our Advisory Committee — a group of esteemed leaders and partners representing the strategic direction and global partnerships we’ve been building to realize our mission and vision across all continents North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

This milestone reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship aligned with Dubai’s D33 strategy, and to strengthening collaboration between government, industry, and academia at both the national and international levels.

Thanks to Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, for his trust and confidence in me. I am truly honored for the opportunity to contribute — not only to the University of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates — but also to the broader Arab region through this important role and its responsibilities.

A heartfelt thank you to our distinguished advisors, partners, and team members who contributed to making this achievement possible. Together, we are shaping the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in the UAE and beyond.

Thanks to the esteemed Advisory Committee.
