What private credit lenders actually look for
Traditional bank financing was not designed with many well-run businesses in mind. Private credit lenders look at revenue quality, business model and use of funds.

Many well-run businesses find that traditional bank financing was not designed with them in mind. Hard collateral requirements, sector familiarity, and balance sheet structure can all become obstacles, regardless of performance.
Private credit lenders think differently. Here is what actually matters to them.
- Revenue quality: is the cash flow recurring, contracted, or predictable? Can you service the debt?
- Business model: is this a B2B, fintech, SaaS, or systems integrator with real contracts and real clients?
- Use of funds: is there a clear purpose? Growth, acquisition, working capital, or CAPEX? Lenders want to know exactly where the money goes.
If your business has strong revenues but no bricks and mortar to show a bank, private credit might be the right path.
